to announce that current AVID Ratings client, FaxonGillis, was ranked at the very top. Jerry Gillis,
CEO of FaxonGillis states, “I was humbled and honored that FaxonGillis received this award but
more importantly, I am so proud of the team we have assembled at FaxonGillis.” Other homebuilders
that rounded out the top five included Generation Homes, John Laing Homes, Winchester Homes, and Pardee
Homes.
Some notable highlights from the survey revealed that though the U.S. market is enduring a struggling
time, these employees are staying right where they are. In fact, 100% of FaxonGillis employees answered
“strongly agree” that they would recommend the company as a good place to work Birthdays,
anniversaries, pregnancies, and many other occasions are celebrated monthly as a team and some tuition
support is offered. As well, FaxonGillis is active in their community getting involved in such organizations
as Hope VI, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Bridge Builders for Youth, among many others.
FaxonGillis Homes was formed from two established pillars of the Memphis home building market - Faxon
Homes and Gillis & Company. In 1988, the two companies merged to become FaxonGillis Homes. Today
FaxonGillis builds world class homes in well located neighborhoods throughout the greater Memphis area
and North Mississippi.
AVID Ratings and FaxonGillis began their partnership in 1996 when AVID Ratings, a full-service, customer
loyalty management firm, began assessing homebuyers’ experiences on behalf of FaxonGillis. Today,
AVID Ratings maintains the largest homebuyer survey database in the home building industry, and serves
over 400 companies throughout the United States and Canada.
