Honestly, Mattamy is a horrible builder. The experience of buy the house was horrible. My mom bought her house and the value of the home went down and when it came to doing the appraisal of the home to get a mortgage it was worth 200, 000 less than what she initially signed for. Even with interest rates and everything 200,000 less in 1.5 years is crazy! She tried severally to do her closing then couldn’t. Now you guys are suing her for the balance after already putting down $85,000. Now she’s preparing to file for bankruptcy because of everything that’s happened. She is severely depressed, and I’m honestly worried about her mental health. Of those of my family members that did closings the quality of the houses were ridiculous. The finishings are bad, the quality of the build is bad. Everything is just bad. You guys have just to keep in mind that it’s not always about the money but your customers to come back an refer more people. My house closed, thank God but all of this has left a sour taste in our mouths. I promise, never again. My house at Quilter Row in Richmond, the builders were way better. Also I would like to mention that Sonia at the sales office was amazing to work with. She was patient and explained things well.

overall quality of house, finishing of house get it lower, usages of stuff to build are very cheap quality
1) Wasn't told about occupancy fees during home buying process, currently paying very high fees. 2) Upgrades for new home were rushed process. The design consultant reached out to me 2 weeks after signing agreement to setup appointment for finalizing upgrades. I was only given 1 month to finalize upgrades which was difficult as a first time home buyer. I felt I could have used more time. 3) PDI process was rushed and I didn't get a change to catch defects which were missed. 4) Final quality of home construction wasn't good. Rushed paint job and other minor defects. Also the walls are thin which means I'm disturbed by noises from the next door neighbors.
Whole team from mattamy very quick answer for all kinds of questions. . All things are good so far and hope same in future as well.
From the point of signing the purchase agreement to the closing date, little to no issues were faced. The staff was very cooperative with all our questions and concerns whilst providing a seamless experience. Thank you for making this acquisition pleasant for us!
