The newest generation of the GoTour® Home Experience app earns praise from Constructech magazine, and draws crowds of builders and product manufacturers at the 2016 International Builders’ Show
MADISION, WI (February 4, 2016) – For a fourth consecutive year, the GoTour® New Home Experience app is a winner of the Residential Constructech Top Products award. The award highlights achievements and advancements in technology that have greatly impacted the homebuilding market. Through mobile devices and web, GoTour® combines immersive VR technology with a feature-rich information delivery platform that attracts, captivates and helps convert sales prospects. Introduced in 2012, the latest 2015 version of GoTour® integrates Matterport technology to provide dynamic 3D floor plans and allow users to control “dollhouse” views from any angle and zoom to any room for a virtual walk-through.

Homebuyers can do this at home, at the coffee shop, in a sales model.”
Builders and building product manufacturers attending the 2016 International Builders’ Show got an exclusive opportunity to experience GoTour® on VR headsets. Avid is testing the experiential technology, but currently does not offer a VR headset version of GoTour® that, Cardis says, could add tremendous appeal to the idea of visiting design centers and sales models.
At the 2015 International Builders’ Show, Avid debuted the award-winning GoTour® technology ONSITE, described as a “museum tour” expansion of GoTour® that integrates iBeacon technology to activate location-specific home feature content inside sales models. Users either download the GoTour® app to their mobile devices or use an iPad provided by a sales associate and while independently touring a model, are shown product information, available options, and videos providing details about nearby features.
