The unit I purchased has the 1 gallon pan in the bottom of the unit, that works as a humidifier. This enables to keep moisture in the air, as it is being heated.

Set-back allows me to set at a lower temperature for maintenance level heat. It can be a little noisy, but not too bad. The thermostat is near the floor so that the temperature setting does not reflect the temperature of the room. Therefore it turns off before the set temperature in the room is met. I've had it a few months. It has kept my house warm through the coldest part of the winter....under freezing and sometimes below zero. It did run a lot to accomplish that.

New this past year and the quickness it takes to heat the room/area is wonderful. The Rinni is a backup system (we heat mainly with wood), which we use when the stove is down is quick and efficient.

We just upgraded our Rinnai heater. We removed our perfectly good 17 yr heater and replaced it with a larger output model. We purchased the thermostat kit and a Honeywell WiFi enabled thermostat. Every thing works great and we can monitor and adjust the temperature in our mountain cabin from home! Rinnai heaters are efficient and reliable!

We’ve had a lot of difficulty with the temperature reading too loud when it’s cold outside. We perceive this is because the heater is on an outside wall and yes being affected by the outside temperature. This makes it difficult to control the heat, particularly when we are using another heat source. Aside from that, we love our Renée heater’s. We have to that we use very regularly during the winter months.

We added two wall furnaces to heat our older cottage which has electric baseboard heaters. In Ontario cottage country, hydro is very expensive. The new Rinnai heaters provide a much more even heat and hugely reduce our hydro bill. We are very pleased with the addition.
