We have a sunroom with no basement underneath. We ran runners under the floor of the sunroom & insulated. We were trying to use our house heat by itself. It helped a little bit but we needed more warmth. We purchased this slimline heater and its the ultimate way to go. We can now enjoy our sunroom for 4 Seasons with as much warm as we wish. This is our 2nd one in 22 yrs. Reasonably priced for the benefit it offers. I have gotten ours to work with the temperature in the house so it doesn't make the sunroom hotter than the house. Also we did not want unvented. This unit is vented to the outside. I can't say enough about this heater.

Amazing... this furnace runs so quiet we never notice it, and the entire house is maintained at a comfortable temperature. We previously had only electric baseboards for heat, one in each room of the house. With the installation of this furnace, we're able to shut them all off completely.

The unit installed very easily, is quiet, easy to operate and looks good. It was on sale at the on-line store where I purchased it, making it very attractive for the technology and efficiency this unit offers vs. other types of wall furnaces I looked at.

This is our second Rinnai. The first one lasted 20 years and then needed to be replaced. It was tired and making noise and was rotted out at the bottom where the humidifier drawer was. Would definitely recommend this product. We love the new unit, like the changes made since last one. Quiet and efficient.

Installation was easy. The fan runs quiet and puts out more air than the last heater. I like the idea of a filter to change, although it has not needed to be cleaned after eight months or so since I installed the heater. The one thing I did not like was having to buy a separate item in order to use the wall thermostat. I think it should have be plug and play, so I do not use the wall thermostat. The heater has been functioning for many months without a hitch.

The unit is great. It has a little bit of noise when on but not bad. Less air drying then electric heat. Heat is very comfortable and even through out the area designated. Easy operating console.

The sophistication of this heater really amazes me. There are multiple ways to set it to run, it is very quiet, and the engineering that went into the installation features is ingenious. The price seemed high when I was choosing a heater, but now that I see what goes into them, it's inexpensive. A photo of the insides should be included in the sales pitch. All the other heaters (of which I have bought 3 different brands) are over priced. The one feature that persuaded me was the high efficiency rating of 87% heat obtained from the gas, whereas all other heaters were in the 67% range. These heaters are worth every penny. RP, Virginia

I've had this unit for a few months now. 1st thing I noticed is it makes a lot of "cracking" sounds every time it starts heating. So much it woke me up at night for a few weeks till I became use to it and I have to turn the TV up a little to over power the noise. It works well in 50+ degree F but once it became winter and started snowing, the thermostat would not read correctly. I had to set the temp at 62 degrees to keep the house between 65-80. Yes.... 80.... Sometimes the thermostat would read 60 degrees and the heater would not turn off. I manually had to turn it off often. Customer service recommend call a repair man to fix it, and if it falls under warranty, Rinnai would reimburse my money. Its a brand new furnace and already spent $1600 on this unit. I wasn't ready to take a $300+ chance to MAYBE get reimbursed so I purchased the external thermostat kit ($85) with a Google Nest ($150) and installed it. Now it works like its suppose to and I like it. Its still noisy, but its fine. It works.

I replaced electric baseboard heating in 4 rooms over two floors (1,000 sf total) in an open concept living space with one Rinnai heater. I was skeptical, but it heats both floors well. I only needed to turn on the electric baseboard heater as a supplementary heating source on very cold winter days. My electricity bill went down by about $200 during the coldest months of the winter, and the gas bill only went up by about $30. And the home is must more comfortable since the electric heaters were struggling to keep the space warm enough. The only downside is that the unit does generate some amount of noise from the blower, and a ticking noise when heating up and cooling down every time the unit cycles on and off, which happen frequently. However, it's a small issue compared to the improved heating capacity and the much lower heating cost. I would buy it again.
