We have had Rina I for about 5 months. I like how we do not ever rub out of hot water. I do wish it got to the faucet quicker.

I had the fist 1 for about 8 year. Just got my 2nd one an only had for 6 months.. The only thing I dislike is when the weather is cold I need to run my hot water longer to get hot water

The unit works great with zero issues. I had called the customer service line once because there was something in the owners manual I did not understand. The woman who helped me was wonderful. She answered my questions regarding changing the temperature of the unit and was very thorough in her answer.

I love my Rinnai tankless hot water heater. I bought one when I remodeled my house almost 20 years ago. I just replaced it with a new one when I remodeled the kitchen this last year. I like the fact that it doesn't have to keep the water hot all the time, which saves me quite a bit on gas bills. My house is small, so it is placed outside on the back wall of the house. The only negative I have is that the out-of-pocket cost is high, but the savings I get from it pays for it over time.

I actually love the on-demand hot water that the unit produces. However, I live within 2 blocks of the Gulf of Mexico and the harsh salinity of our environment attacks the connections. I had our first unit replaced after 7 years of life because it was within a couple hundred dollars of just having the repair work completed.

The unit was installed about five months ago. We like the concept of not burning fuel all of the time to have hot water. Also, the water tank it replaced was installed outside (next to the air conditioner) in a weatherized water cabinet. Since the Rinnai unit is much smaller than a 50-gallon water tank, it looks much better.
