"Hot water never stops"

Satisfied Consumer Nov 25, 2021

Takes less space. Only uses energy when I need hot water. Had for a year in December

Small and compact; have utilized for now for 6 months. Drawback—takes water a long time to heat for “hot” water.

"Hot water at its best"

Well built, we had one problem but once it was addressed, there were no more issues

"Works great, once the hot water reaches the faucet"

I was pleased that I was able to purchase a unit that was designed to work from outside the home. I’m not a fan of a gas water heater inside. However, I am disappointed that it takes so long for hot water to reach my faucets. It is located eight feet from the location of our original water heater, yet takes twice as long to produce hot water. Now I save on gas charges, but pay more for wasted water.

"Rinnai RU180eN - 10 GPM"

GAPS-TN Jan 26, 2021

The product is great to heat the water, and overall, no functional issues during the two moths we had this water heater in our home. There are only two undesirable feature that I can mention for the model I purchased, and that is only reason why I did not rate this product with five stars. Although I purchased an exterior model, I installed inside the attic, and then I realized that the exhaust window releases for about a minute a smell of gas. The gas smells is NOT from a leak. It only smells to gas after the unit finishes a heating run, and there is a fan motor that continues working for a couple of minutes after the water is shut off, to clear the gas and/or heat from the unit interior. The other issue I see is that the condensation line releases about 2 gallons of water per week, and we do not use the heater excessively, as we are only two persons in the house. I realized that because I have to collect the condensation water in a bucket and then drain it manually every weekend, because I have not yet connected the drain line to a drainpipe.

Had this unit for about 4 months now, changed the house from Propane to NG and this unit was part of the change. Amazing how the monthly bills have gone down. install went easy and the unit can barely be heard as its being used.

"Works perfectly"

Purchased an outside unit from Lowes about 6 months ago and had a plumber install the unit. It works perfectly and have had no issues with it at all. There is no difference in time in getting hot water to the faucet or shower vs. our tank water heater. Gas bill is about the same, if not a bit smaller.

It’s been three weeks since installation. This is our second tankless water heater. The first (Eternity) lasted 10 years, Let’s see how this one compares. So far, the5e are no complaints. It’s efficient, discreet, and inexpensive.

"Second Rinnai"

Had a Rinnai at previous house in California from 2006 until moved here in Florida early 2020. The 2006 functioned great all those years and was a four bedroom, three bath house. Just have to realize that the real hot water does take some seconds to get to far away rooms, but that once there you can go forever --- no tank! Now have another, newer version 2020!! Great!

I like the fact that it is WIFI capable. I like that I can see information etc. on my smartphone and not have to have to have a physical monitor on a wall. I have had my Rinnai for 2 months. My only regret is not getting earlier. You also see a drop in your electric bill.
