I've had this water heater for about a year. It performs well, I never run out of hot water and it has worked as marketed.

Quiet, compact, dependable, inexpensive to run. My installer explained the misunderstanding that these are "instantly hot", so the 30-60 second wait for hot water was not a surprise for me. The water is hot within the 30-60 second time frame, stays hot, and never runs out. The unit can be heard in my utility closet, but is such a quiet hum, it barely grabs any attention at all. It wasn't the cheapest unit out there, but it is well worth the cost. I would absolutely purchase this product again.

It was installed November 2021. Love it’s fuel efficiency, quality workmanship, projected lifetime of 20-25 years, and that maintenance techs seem to like working on these units. Keep in mind: you must have a way to drain/pump the condensate

Yes, it is supplying all the hot water we need. We don't use any fancy features, just turn on the water and it's hot!

We moved into a new house with an older tankless las year and dealt with all kinds of issues. Our local contractor said Rinnai is really the only way to go, and I think he's right. We've had it installed for a few months now, and it's working like a champ! Very pleased.

The unit does not consistently produce hot water. This has happened several times but eventually the hot water heater unit kicks in and produces hot water. I get an error code of 12. I have the plumber who installed the unit coming out to find out what's wrong. Unit was installed in August 2021 and for Sept, October and November we were not here so the unit was being used. Now, when it does produce hot water, it is very hot which is nice.

It required several attempts by the plumber who installed the system to get the burner to light. That may have been due to issues with the propane or with the igniter in the Rinnai unit. The system is in the mountains, 5000 ft elevation. The system is now working fine. We have had the system for around 5 months. This system is in a house that is rarely occupied so it sits shut down most of the time. The plumber who installed the system was very persistent. He has installed numerous Rinnai systems and he recommends them. My system was more problematic than most. He made good use of Rinnai support and, from what I observed, the Rinnai support is excellent.

After countless hours of research on which one to use, a friend of mine works for a school district as their maintenance man and he told me he put this same unit in one of their buildings and said it was a little to much power for the building but that's what they wanted, so I bit the bullet dropped the $1600 on it and the first thing I noticed was the packaging and the contents inside, very well packed and everything needed to get this set up in place of my existing hot water heater. All the necessary valves, hardware was included in this kit, I also installed a recirculation pump, I have zero issues with this unit, 5 hot water outlets running at the same time (just to check), and the same hot water temp came out all faucets, no fluctuations, wife is very happy with this purchase. What stands out the most is it's pretty much plug and play, no dislikes so far, likes would be does everything it says and then some as far as how many faucets can be used at the same time. 12/13/20 was date of purchase.

We have had the tankless system for about three months. I prefer the performance of our old tank system for the following reason: The maximum temperature of 120 degrees is not as hot as I was used to in our prior hot water heater. Also it takes longer for the hot water to be delivered. Besides my personal use in the shower, this effects cloths and dish washing.
