Has no problem heating water for two showers plus dishwasher at once. However, it has a very loud motor sound when running. I assume this is the recirculating pump.

My RU199 outside unit is well built and nice looking unit with the bottom protective cover (extra option). I have only had it for about 5 months now (summer months). I had problems at first with the unit fan starting when I ran cold water from outside hose bib. Had to install check valves in both hot and cold side of unit to correct this problem. Unit does supply ample hot water after it gets heated. It seems to take much longer for the water to get hot than our old 17 year old electric hot water tank. That is somewhat of a disappointment for the water not to get hotter faster. We knew it would not be instantaneous without a recirculating pump, but could not find one of those because of the backorder of units throughout the country.

I’ve had this product for about half a year now, and it works exceptionally. Infinite hot water means no worries about timing or staggering showers or laundry. I love that it is energy efficient in that there is not water heating constantly, just only when I need it. The minor drawback is that using a faucet at the opposite end of the home might take a couple extra seconds to heat up, but there is virtually no delay at all when using larger volumes (i.e. bathing). Awesome product, would definitely recommend!

like the size of the unit that was mounded outside on the wall of my garage. performs just like an electric water heater with a tank. i have not run ot of hot water. i did have the installers come back and raise the temperature from the default setting since we are only two adults living in the house. however, 130 degrees is very hot and i would not recommend raising it to this temperature if you have children in the house.

We bought the stainless steel unit (gas) and have been very impressed with it’s build quality and consistent performance. We like the digital thermometer and it is easy to adjust. We did not buy the recirculating system, and it takes a short wile to run hot to any faucet, but no different than with our old tank heater. The difference is almost limitless hot water! No more hot water anxiety.
