After 9 months with 2 rinnais, we are very happy with how they work. No disappointments whatsoever. When the power goes out, we have to reset and it took a few times to learn how to do this, but we kept the instructions near the control pad and can do it pretty quickly.

I love having hot water available so fast. For the model purchased, I expected more. Only one person can shower at a time or else you freeze. I have had this unit since May/June 2020 and it broke in 2021. The part was covered, the labor was not! Shocked to find out I had to pay so much and it was only a year old. Also astounded that there is only one certified tech on the Big Island. The wait time for the one plumber was excruciating. I have 8 children and one of them was a newborn. No hot water for over 2 weeks when I paid almost $2,000.00 for this unit just a year before. For the record, the plumber that installed it recommended this specific unit for my home/family size. Had I known you can only have the part covered by warranty if the certified tech installs it AND there is only one on island, I would not have purchased it. Great learning experience, I will now ask about warranty AND servicing before purchasing. This unit is supposed to be able to heat water for 5 showers running at the same time. This is not the case. Also if you don't have the tap turned on fully, it will not activate the heating. Disappointed to say the least. I had read so many great reviews prior to purchase. Maybe this is a lemon?

Rinnai products are wonderful. I just had two tankless units installed in Oct this year and they perform as expected. They are also workhorses. Keep up the great work!

The ceramic heating unit on my old Rinnai cracked twice during the first four years. Rinnai replaced the ceramic heating unit the first time. Then installed a completely new water heater with a stainless steel heating unit when it cracked the second time. Both times at no additional cost We always had hot water during the times the heating units were cracked; they were just a bit noisy. It is great to see a company stand behind their product. Other than the cracked heating units, the product has exceeded all of our expectations.

I've had a Rinnai tankless previously, and was so happy with it that when I bought my new house I had to have one installed. It's rock solid and of course the infinite hot water is awesome. The only complaint that I have is that even with the recirc system installed it takes forever to get hot water.

Energy efficient and on demand hot water but it’s an extremely complex system and very few technicians know how to maintain and repair them.
The website app to control the equipment does not work, many reviews that say it does not work and they are not working to fix it. Our power went out, when that happens you the tank defaults to 90 degrees, without the website, you have to MANUALLY go in and reset. Not happy.
We had the Rinnai tankless water heater installed in our new home which was completed in June, 2021. We included the circulation pump which works wonderfully. Being able to make adjustments to the schedule and or temperature using theRinnai ControlR app is convenient.

Was able to eliminate 2 in-attic hot water heaters with one tankless system. Time for water to heat up slightly longer than with old system but water is plenty hot . Shop around for installers. Larger shops charged significantly more than family owned shop that did the job.

Running about 8 months, does it’s job as advertised. A great interface that allows you to control the unit. Make sure the installer knows what they are doing, we had to have a different plumber come out an correct issues caused by the original plumber. When I needed help in working out the problems customer support was excellent in helping me work out the problem

The all in one system, (hot tank, timer, and circulator) is what i wanted and it is working great.

I like the continuous hot water. I dislike how complicated it is to move the water temperature past 120.
