Even though we have not had our Rinnai hotwater heater very long we are VERY well please with it's performance. Again, even though we do not have a lot experience with the on demand hotwater heater we believe the savings from going ondemand hotwater from an outside hotwater trying to maintain temperature all the time will be very significant.

The application for outdoors was my preferred choice , looks good on the exterior of home, installation completed was on July 12 2020, It has been working great , no problems well worth the expense, looking forward in seeing the savings on my gas bill.

This is an amazing water heater. Replaced an indoor 40 gallon water heater with this tankless outdoor unit and what a difference! More space inside the house and my gas bill was cut by a third. Water heats up at farthest faucet just a fast as it did with the indoor heater. Had it for a few months now and love it. My friend in Texas has had the same spec unit, just older, for about nine years now and has had no issues with it. Removing the indoor water heater also made a difference in the temperature of our house; another money saving element.

The unit provides endless supply of hot water. Love it! Only thing I have to complain about is that the unit does not include the plumbing kit or the panel to cover the pipes. Makes more sense to me to include everything that's required to install so unit is complete and ready to use once installed in the home.

This is a perfect solution for an endless supply of hot water. you will need a recirculating pump and sensor valve installed so you have instant hot water at each outlet. The reason for this is there is no reservoir of hot water and you need to run the water through the Rinnai before hot water is created.

My 40 gal water heater start leaking, so it's time for a replacement. Being in California, all new water heater required to be low Nox, which make a tank water heater cost the same as a tankless. Changing the location of the water input/output is the initial pain, prepare to do some extra work here. I have a 1/2 inch gas line which still work fine, no need to upgrade to 3/4 inch gas line unless you have to provide massive volume of hot water, for me 2 restroom is adequate. I love how nice and neat it look now, space saving is a plus. Oh yes the electrical wire is not included.
