I was a little hesitant to purchase a tankless heater for a DIY install. However, the instructions were detailed enough to make the installation go smoothly. It worked the first time without any fuss. I like the ease at which the controls enable me to adjust settings to match my application.

I needed to replace an exterior mounted Rinnai that had malfunctioned after13 years. It was no longer available. They had a replacement but it required a different exterior door that was supposedly made to fit my recess box. After multiple conversations with Rinnai personnel, they assured me that the door and unit would both fit. Well, the unit fit into my recess box but the door did not fit. I spent almost a month talking to Rinnai and after my unit was installed, I had to have the door altered myself, otherwise my unit would be exposed to the elements. This left me unhappy with Rinnai. Their products are good, but they should have had a compatible unit that would work with the recess box I had previously purchased from them and installed.

I installed it myself but did not receive an invoice from the supplier and since it was an internet purchase (from Build.com / Furguson) just makes getting a rebate much harder. They need to supply some kind of invoice with the unit.

Great tankless water heater!

We installed about two months ago and seems to be working wonderfully. We were placed our gas water heater to make room in our laundry room. We had to upgrade our existing gas line for this new unit. However, it was very difficult to find a service technician for this area. My husband ended up watching YouTube videos and doing a lot of studying about it and got it hooked up. But we both love it.

I have had this product on a new garage apartment. It’s nice and hot but I have noticed that when the spigot flow is low the heating element shuts off. I then have to turn the faucet off then turn it back on at a high flow to get hot water.
