I have had the unit installed now for about 6 months, working as expected. I am using it in an unheated shop area where it can often freeze so I shut it down and drain completely when I am not going to be around much (mostly to keep the water lines from freezing). I wasn't sure if the repeated shut down and start up would be an issue but the unit handles it well. I installed myself, not the easiest to do so don't try unless you are an experienced handyman.

Endless hot water. Works well in small home. Minimal maintenance . The only reason I had to replace it was a lightning strike. Fuel efficient. Downside- needs full water pressure for hot water. 2 people can’t shower at same time

The first thing I noticed was how economical the unit is to operate. I purchased to V53DeP (LP Gas) as there is no natural gas available in my community. I placed the unit in service May 5, 2021. I'm suppling the unit with ( 2) 7gallion LPG tanks with a automatic switch over unit. It took 4 months for the switch over to occur. I took the empty for refill, the cost was under $30.

As far as a bog standard tank water heating device goes it's superior to them in all respects. The WiFi controller is inferior however. Can't even exist on 2.5 GHz / 5 GHz system. It only can be used on a pure 2.5 GHz system. Once set the temperature reverts to the factor default after a preiod of time. Don't waste you money on that. Get the wired controller.

We like the design, easy installation and plenty of hot water. We live off grid and it supplies two fixtures ( shower and kitchen sink),at the same time , with no issues.

We got the bottom of the line product because there are only two of us in the home. Hot water all day long and propane will get us through power outages. We are happy.
