It takes about 5 minutes of the water running before it gets hot. Water here in St. Augustine Florida is really expensive. Why am I wasting 5 minutes of water? Now I have to wash my dishes in cold water! Maintenance for the unit is also challenging. We had to hire an authorized Rinnai dealer to flush the system. He will do this annually and it was really pricey. Having a normal water heater in the garage is a piece of cake. This Rinnai tankless water heater is more like old bread!

We moved into a new Lennar community in 2020, our home came with the Rinnai tankless water heater, this model should be called " The Water Waster" . We live in AZ where water is already scares, in order to get hot water you have to turn the facet on for 5 minutes so it can clear the lines until actual hot water comes from the unit.

It's not heating the water enough. Even if we keep the temperature at 120F the water is just warm. It's a long time to get hot water and there is a lot of water wastage due to that. As of now it doesn't meet my expectations at all.

We always have a supply of hot water. It is economical. We have had the gas unit in our new home for almost five months. It meets our expectations.

I like that it saves energy by not keeping water hot all of the time but, it can also be cumbersome waiting for hot water to get to the shower. Should be less maintenance than a traditional hot water heater and it is nice that it is so small.

I love the cost savings on my electric bill. While my water bill did go up a bit, it is no where near what the combined water and electric were before I switched to the Rinnai. I wish I could have had it installed in my garage rather than outside, as in winter it takes a good bit of time to get hot water. Unfortunately, when I made the switch, roofer were in short supply, so I had to have it installed outside. Other than that, I love the unit.

Had the RINNAI Ve65N for a few months now. It’s adequate but not really up to expectations. Takes a long time to deliver hot water and the device seems to reduce water pressure
