We have had our Rinnai for about 6 months and absolutely love it. It's quiet and heats with water in a reasonable amount of time. I just love the fact that you never run out of hot water!

Customer service was virtually non existent. My unit is in an incredibly remote area so it was a DIY. I was hoping to have everything I needed and could not get useful answers regarding what I needed to make the unit work. After multiple trips and calls I finally found a propane dealer who could help.

Takes to long to get hot at the far ends of the house. Resets to 104 degrees when there’s a power interruption — this is a pain: should reset to the temp set by the user.

A bit noisier than expected. Not saving water while heating up - big dissapointment, I really do not see a difference between tank and tankless for wter efficiency, I also do not appreciate havig to purchase additional items for maintenance. If Rannai tells consumers to drain a unit every year, the components for draining shoudl be included (with exception of garden hose).

Bought our home with the Rinnai water heater installed, and we’ve had it for almost a year. We like it, although it takes a while for hot water to travel to the back bathroom. We are having lime build up, so it may be time to change our softener filter.
