Waited 2 months for my rebate check only to get a letter that the unit has to be be installed to get rebate. I bought the unit to have when I needed it. What does it matter if I installed it yet or not.

This Rinnai unit replaces a 20 year tankless system from another company. We have had this new Rinnai for six months and love it. The newer digital features make it much easier to operate.

This is my second Rinnai. I had the first one for 12 years and had to replace it due to water leak in the system. I understand the newer models are less prone to leaking, plus has an auto shutoff if a leak does occur. What I like the most about the product is the cost savings I have experienced from the 80 gallon water heater I used to have. The savings were noticed within the first month. Secondly, I like the fact they system is "on demand"; no need to keep a water heater "on" just to keep the water hot. Third, the size is much smaller than a water heater, so I gain extra space in my garage.

Work great! Wish they(Rinnai) could figure how get hot water faster to the faucet. The further from the heater longer you wait. Having to get the units flushed 1 once a year or voids the warranty, is a pain in the drain.. Saves money on water heating

This is our 2nd Rinnai. We'll never go back to a tank! An added bonus is that our pantry now has more room. The Rinnai hangs on the wall, taking up much less space than a tanked water heater.
Make sure to read all of the information on the product before you buy it. There are gas and water pipe size and flow rate minimums and maximums that must be adhered to as well as clearances needed. There will be a short learning period to get used to using a tankless water heater instead of a conventional one. Rinnai is a great product.
