If you're on the fence abt a tankless, GO FOR IT.. They are easy to maintain, super fast hot water, sleek looking on the outside of your house and more sustainable in general as there is not a whole tank of water standing waiting for you to use it.. They just make sense.. I will most likely not go back to a tank heater again as my experience with Rinnai has ben so good.

I live in a 2 story home. The Builder provided the Rinnai system. In order to get Hot Water I have to run the water for 5 minutes downstairs and almost 10 minutes upstairs. To get hot water at a sink you have turn on more than one faucet at the same time. Very displeased with the system.

It does not heat fast , wastes so much water , it’s next to the faucet , also . Rinnai cheated us they gave our rebate to the builder , I paid the builder to get this installed and use it , so I shd get the rebate for gas , but they sold cheap to the builder

Water is super hot.. recommend use a water circulation pump if heater is far away from faucets though ( mainly bath tub)

Having on demand hot water instead of water heater tank has been great. It doesn't take up any space inside the home or garage as the unit sits just outside. We've had several showers happening at once and the hot water never dissipated.

This works great, but a pipe burst during a snowstorm. I had called customer service when I first bought the water heater. They told me I didn’t need to build an enclosure or buy a cover for the water heater, even during a freeze. A pipe burst during a snowstorm, and they told me the warranty doesn’t cover it.

I just replaced a 15 year old Rinnai that never needed any servicing. It was still working great, but replaced it to be sure not to be without hot water. I will never buy a different type of water heater. It is a game changer versus tank water heaters.
