Thank God for the warranty with all that has had to be fixed!!!! Despite all the sorry work, our contractor, Jamie, was very pleasant and tried to make things right. It seems as though AV corporate office, however, has forgotten that good customer service is what leads to referrals, and it's those buying their homes that pays their bills.

My children could have painted the interior of the house better. Mud at drywall seams was not sanded- just put on and painted over, many areas left unpainted at trim, many, many drops running down on trim/doors, nail pops all over, chipped paint on cabinets, a chunk missing from side of cabinet exposing particle board-designated marked plastic of some sort on carpet, bad batch of vinyl siding installed that was buckled on one entire side of house and in back, and our 2nd week in the home, puppies backed up due to construction debris in line, flooding entire first floor which had to be revived and replaced. Cracked pipe under driveway resulted in driveway being broken up and replaced. Fence installed had 2-4 in inch gaps at bottom of 5-7 of the panels. I absolutely never expected such shitty workmanship in buying a brand new home.

Their willingness to assist me when i had problems with my project manager and replace him when we could no longer work together.

Make sure that the project manager assigned has a good rapport and maintains a good avenue of communication with the customer who is having the home built.
