Review of Overall Experience

I had a really hard time providing ratings for everything relating to my home for several reasons. I absolutely love my home and feel that Broadview delivered an amazing home in overall quality and performance and aesthetic. I am extremely happy with the upgrades I chose to improve the aesthetic and give me a final product that I love and will enjoy for years to come. However, as I’ve previously written in other sections in this review, I had a really hard time enjoying my experience building with Broadview for the aforementioned reasons; I really wanted to write a very positive review because I love my home, but I would be putting lipstick on a pig for my experience. The people I worked with and continue to work with are all lovely people who care deeply about delivering good quality beautiful homes, but there are processes and methodologies that have clearly been in place at Qualico/Broadview for a long time that are inhibiting them from performing more efficiently in 2023 and delivering a higher quality home. I would be curious to know the answer if Broadview asked themselves the following question: “If we were a brand new company and were designing our homes and processes today, would we continue to do things the way we do?” I doubt it. This was the second home I have built from scratch from a builder, and had this been my first time home building, I would have had a very difficult time with the lack of communication from Broadview on timelines and selections and finishings. A change agent to improve their communication, improve the home ownership process from design selection through to closing, to possession walk through, and an after home service consultant dedicated to you (not a service@broadview generic email) would all go a long way to improving their entire home purchasing/building experience at minimal cost to their team.

The only reason I wasn’t able to add much is because all the houses that has been sold in our areas either its kensignton, randall and broadview have their driveways and stuccos done within a month of having summer yet we are still waiting for someone to reach out to us about of driveway. Other than that we have been loving this house. It’s like dream house to us and we can never get over it. We will probably go with Randall homes next time because quality seems better but I understand all three builders come under qualico so it would be no different but I’ve heard so many better reviews for that builder

Review of Overall Experience

As first time home buyers, we were very excited to move. When we move our home was partially finished as expected since it was already winter, only some of the exterior were not yet done and broadview was responsible enough to make sure that some exterior are still being finished eventhough the weather was getting bad. ( also some interior deficiencies was addressed fast enough during our first week. As the day passed we noticed some huge deficiencies inside the house especially the stairs, the shape of the stairs was not properly covered by the drywall on the side, seems can be seen between the stairs and the wall and the guy who installed the carpet on the stairs thought it would be covered by this but it is still noticeable. We contacted warranty about this but it is very had to contact them, had to leave voicemails. Good thing Victoria responsive to my wife's email. Another was one of the cabinets were damaged but kitchen craft mistakenly brought the wrong replacement cabinet and it has been a probably 3 weeks to a month since I last heard of them so they would finish this 1 cabinet. Overall, the house is beautiful inside and out, we love it. Probably, some of the workmanship was poor because they were trying to rush the home which was 2 months delayed.

Sales representative and site supervisor is very communicated and provides all the detailed information I needed. especially Lisa castro is really cool, and she gives us excellent offers for home selections and help throughout the building process. I always recommend broadview to each and every one.

I had to fight for everything, they will deny by putting it on leadership and wont let us talk to leadership either. People don't care about your money spent. Their force there policies on you no matter what you are trying to explain. Every moment for getting something corrected or repaired most of the times, you get worried that now you have to argue with them. Normal things like water leakage that happened etc. was taken care by them in timely manner but I had many deficiencies from construction stage that are still on todo list for them, though 70% of these were taken care off in first 3 months but for that I had to take at least 10 leaves from my workplace at least and sometimes their contractor won't show up.
