I had a very satisfying experience from day 1! It started with Ed, continued with Jarrod, and everyone along the way! Oz and Vanessa were outstanding evaluating everything during walk throughs and making sure everything was addressed. The only issues we faced were with the financing company during closing. It seemed like whatever was required to move things always a moving target. Eventually, we got through it, but the closing ended up taking 3 hours.

Brookfield was very responsive! A special shout-out to Jim, Jared, and Vanessa! We had a licensed electrician come to change out some light switches, and he noticed that the wire nuts were all pretty loose, which is a fire hazard. We brought this up at our 30-day check, and we were told that Brookfield won’t do anything unless something happens. Which seems unsafe since once something happens, it’s literally when the house is on fire. Additionally, this could just be how all homes are built, but the lack of symmetry around doors and windows made it difficult to install curtain rods since the studs are in different places. While on the topic of asymmetry, the garage only had one light in front, and the back also only had one light, which we didn’t prefer. The outlets and the cable hider units are too high for tv locations at both bedroom and living room - if it were at eye level or 4 ft from the ground, it would easily be hidden by the tv since most cables are at the lower end of the tv. Another frustrating point was the lack of a door between the master bedroom and the master bathroom. And a door installed inside the laundry room which is not mentioned in the plans or shown in the model home. Lastly, the vent openings in the main level are on the floor instead of ceiling or in wall - this is particularly annoying in the kitchen area as it’s possible to drop liquid or food particles. We want to give extra thanks to Vanessa and the people who came for drywall and painting! Y’all have gone above and beyond to make sure we’re happy with our home, and we really appreciate it!

The quality wasn't what we were expecting to have on move in day. There were many small things left unfinished that we'd pointed out a week earlier, and we just got tired of asking for repairs after we closed.
