Rick, the Assistant Construction Manager, is an excellent representative of Brookfield Residential. He is knowledgeable, professional, and personable. Rick takes a genuine interest in the home and any concerns we have raised. He responds within a short period of time and, when needed, has arranged for someone to come to the home to handle a concern. During our meeting with Dan, Construction Manager, he was very informative about the home and the process involved in building, answering our questions and making note of our concerns. Brookfield Residential has an excellent team in these two gentlemen.
Would prefer a Sales Office Manager to be concerned with the satisfaction of the prospective buyer as opposed to only being concerned with commission. We were selling our former home to move here and the original buyers' loan fell through which necessitated in our having to delay closing and put that house back on the market. The Sales Manager, [redacted], was informed of this and of our need to delay closing. In a very raised and angry voice, he told us during the phone call that we had "blindsided" Brookfield with our request for a delay in closing, that Brookfield could put a lien on our former home, that Brookfield could sue us for breach of contract, and then suggested that we (a retired couple) liquidate our assets in order to pay Brookfield. The delay was due to no fault on our part but we were made to feel responsible. Our realtor handled all further contact/ discussions with the Sales Manager, [redacted], from that point on as we were not comfortable speaking with him. Our realtor had difficulty in obtaining responses from [redacted] on several occasions. [redacted] stated that we "misunderstood" what he had said, but there were three people listening on speaker phone. Several "mistruths" were noted throughout the final months prior to closing, to our Loan Officer, our Realtor in VA and to our Realtor in NC. At the least [redacted] needs (re)training in Customer Service. We have referred one couple to Brookfield Residential but advised them to not deal with [redacted].
