Review of Overall Experience

Although the floor plan and community is a nice one, I haved lived in 5 newly built homes and this one had the most punch list items and defects. The roofer was horrible and I had two roof leaks, one from simply failing to properly install a boot around a vent pipe and one from a lack of flashing. Shrubs that were added per contract, were incorrectly planted so there was no exposed root ball, and there were many trim and poorly installed items. Then 5 weeks in, we had a clogged sewer line due to a worker or cleaning person flushing a large inappropriate item down the toilet during construction. I will say, the only good thing about the experience was that they sent people out quickly to remedy the items, but they never should have happened in the first place. Its a flight of exhaustion. When as homeowners do we just give up with all the imperfections and live with them, rather than hassle to get them repaired? I will say that Stacie, Katy, and Teena have been the most helpful of all.
