Overall experience was excellent at every stage, however, there were a couple of items that could be improved. First, we chose a lot which it turned out could not accommodate our model. This information was not provided to us until we were ready to make an offer. We aren't blaming the sales staff but it appeared they didn't have this information readily available. Second issue was selecting an exterior colour package. Again it appears that the sales office staff did not have accurate information as to how each colour package would be applied to each model and elevation. It should have been easy for the architect to provide images of how each package would be applied to desired model and elevation.
We had a great experience with Alain — very professional, helpful, and made the entire purchase process smooth and stress-free. He was responsive, courteous, and ensured everything went well on the sales side, which we truly appreciated. However, our experience after the sale has been disappointing. We did a pre-delivery walk in February and by our possession date March, some items are still incomplete. One month later, many of these issues remain unresolved (e.g. missing kick plates and damaged cabinets, missing soft close mechanism on ALL of our upgraded cabinets, garbage pullouts, missing filler strips, damaged tile and scratches to faucet). Coordination between trades has been poor, and today's experience is a good example: the plumber came and determined that the toilet did not need to be removed to fix the broken tile that was noted during our close out inspection and left. Shortly after, the tile repair arrived and confirmed the toilet does need to be removed—then left without doing any work. As a result, no progress was made, and our time was wasted. It’s frustrating to still be dealing with an incomplete and damaged home a month after moving in, not to mention our cabinets are still missing many pieces and doors. We hope the company takes steps to improve after-sales coordination and service, as this part of the experience has fallen short of expectations or better yet, please do not deliver a house until everything is complete.
Overall I would say I am happy with my new home. It took a long time from start to move in, and yet there's many pieces still to be completed before we're done. I always felt it was all about EQ rather than me as the homeowner. Lots of CYA. Overly long documents, pressure to make decisions, comply with deadlines. Emphasis on technology which didn't add to the experience. That said I am not dissatisfied. Trades and products and upgrades overpriced and not as solid as I would have liked. All in all I am optimistic the final steps will be completed in a timely and acceptable fashion.
I recently bought a home from EQ Homes and had a great experience. The process was smooth, and the quality of the home is top-notch. Very happy with the overall experience! Would definitely recommend
Quality of home - construction, materials used and finishes are below expectations. But eq home services intern of customer service, management etc are great!

The experience has been great. Promptly updates and communication. The house was also very well built. I would like to say a special thank you to Chris for always going above and beyond in making sure things are noted and resolved as soon as possible.
Overall good experience, other than delayed final closing with no expected date yet.
