Overall Experience

As a first time home owner I found the experience incredibly overwhelming. The staff made the transition so much easier, from the initial walk through to current. Communication is great , usually receiving a response of some sort the same day. I find all the staff / contractors friendly and helpful. This made a fairly stressful event so much easier for me .

Overall Experience

Our experience with the sales agent began very positively—everything appeared perfect until the contract was signed and the down payment was made. From that point forward, the process quickly deteriorated. The possession date was missed, and, to our frustration, homes that had not even been sold were completed and handed over before ours. We have now been living in the home for 41 days, yet several issues identified during the pre–walk-through remain unresolved. Even minor concerns are routinely dismissed by the site general, whose sarcastic remarks leave us feeling disregarded and unheard. We are still waiting for the final grade to be completed, masonry to be installed on the front of the house, the plastic covering to be removed from the second-story windows, the front door to be painted, and the broken furnace clips to be repaired—among other outstanding tasks. Within just one week of being poured, the sidewalk, driveway, and garage pad began to crack. The driveway has already started chipping due to poor workmanship. Fabucon drove a cement truck over the rebar, bending it two feet on each side, and used a dull saw blade to cut the stress crack lines. Throughout the entire process, we observed every stage of construction closely, as we lived just down the street.

Got keys June 30th. The garage was poured mid July. I still have no driveway poured as of August 10. Today the down spouts were put in. I watched Rob put the request in on July 31 after he realized the stucco was done. The stucco was completed in June 24t the day of our walk through. He was 37 days late on the request. House was a dusty mess when we walked in. Outlets in wrong locations. Malfunctioning lights. Zero communication. Luckily the Frueme family next door complained early and their jobs are getting done in time. Unfortunately I'm too late. All my stuff I couldn't put in my ungraded yard or in my un finished garage floor had to go in my now underwater basement. The amount of frustration, embarrassment, and depression is too much to bare anymore. Jeremy

Overall Experience

I’m extremely disappointed in my experience with Kensington Homes. I was unexpectedly charged over $7,000 just days before closing — an amount that was not on the original cost summary. I was told by the realtor to proceed with closing and that they’d assist later, but since then, there has been no real help or follow-up. On possession day, I was given the wrong keys and was locked out for hours — Harvey is aware. The home was delivered dirty, with the painter leaving the carpet stained. The basement flooded within the first week, I received the wrong quartz and wrong handles, and many items are still incomplete. To make matters worse, I sustained an injury due to poor work done on the driveway. I have proof and documentation for all these issues. I previously purchased a Broadview (Qualico) home and had none of these problems. This experience has been the opposite — zero accountability, poor communication, and no respect for the homeowner. If Kensington does not take responsibility and resolve these matters properly, I will pursue a small claims case and submit a formal complaint to the Real Estate Association, especially for the unethical closing situation and financial manipulation. A $250 gift card after all this is not just inadequate — it’s insulting. I had to take out a loan just to complete the closing. This is not how customers deserve to be treated.

Incomplete. Waiting on final grade to lay sod before the fall. Waiting on stone for front of house. Would rather comment as 1st year warranty comes. Tony the site supervisor is excellent to date.

The site supervisor was very nice and accomodating. Showed us around the house when it was still under construction. Kris provided us all necessary and accurate informations. We did our walk through with Taylor, and she was awesome. Anna handed the keys to us, she reponded on my email swiftly. Nicole (Real Estate agent) wasn’t so nice that’s why I ended up of getting a realtor. She doesn’t respond on my inquiries. Also I wish she knew exactly what she was selling. We were told stuffs that were not included, eg: basement she said there’s rough in, but none. Also flooring in main are all vinyls, but the actual is carpet in the living room. I already had a second thoughts of buying this house because of her. Good that the other people were very nice and I found a patient realtor who dealt with her. Overall , Kensington did a great job.
