The kitchen layout and storage is fantastic! I also love the vinyl flooring and the big windows. The storage (closets, pantry, shelves) were so well thought out and super appreciated.
The tamper resistant switches are a real pain. It was almost impossible to plug in some of my kitchen appliances. I also don’t know why they would put them up high in a kitchen, if the point of them is for safety (for children). I like the look of the chrome sink/ faucets, but every little mark shows. I would rather have a different finish that’s easier to keep clean. An exterior garage door would have been a bonus.
The floorplan and uniqueness of the exterior
I would never have let Bruins do our plumbing.

Open concept layout and good sized yard
The interior trim around all doors gets damaged from the latch because the striking plate is too short. Paint is scratched off and a dent in the trip appears. This will require frequent touch

open plan, veranda on the front
1. The "space saving" 60" X 32" tub/shower combo (Hytec Model 5686/87) is too narrow with an inside width of only 19 inches. An adult cannot take a bath comfortably. It is also a very poor design with upper and lower toiletry shelves which make it impossible to fit your shoulders in. 2. The dining room light should be centered over the actual dining area not including the aisle from the living room to kitchen. 3. A transom window in the dining room should be standard with the Brookmere plan. This is the darkest house we have ever owned. The show home we viewed had a transom window in the dining room which we thought we would have in our home as well.
