I would never recommend anyone to buy Mattamy's home. Saw so many issues. Reported so many issues in 30 day period but only a couple were addressed. I can visibly see the gap between the patio door and the floor. I can feel air coming inside. Due to this the HVAC runs in cold weather for more than 5+ hours. When trying to reach out to Mattamy emergency line was either transferred to voicemail to record a message and never got a chance to speak to a representative. So eventually fixed most of the critical issues myself because I would be the one paying for energy bills. I caulked all the gaps. Still a lot of issues but from what I have heard the other issue will be resolved in the next 4-6 months. I have seen houses from Tamarack, Minto, Caivan and Metro in Ottawa. No one has as bad of a customer experience as Mattamy.

I guess I would start by saying start to finish. The experience at Mattamy was just awful. When we first went into Madame show home, the receptionist was absolutely offputting and just was unhappy and we actually walked out and decided we weren’t gonna buy them at home unfortunately for us, or with the budget that we had Madame was really the only option in terms of a new home. We didn’t want to go with a resale which at the time in December there is only a few on the market in Barrhaven which has 138,000 people in it so we are very surprised by that. Anyhow Madame Mae was really our only option so we went back and we talked to another representative about that same show, and she wasn’t very interested in giving us too many details so we ended up having to go to the main person at maté, and they walked us through like what we could do with maté, and we ended up choosing a place through them , what I will say is it’s been extremely difficult in terms of communication on our move-in day prior to move-in after move-in it’s been very difficult as to who to contact as far as our PDI items and stuff only had one thing done out of like 50 items so far and we’re already a month in as far as the quality of house goes it just is not up to our standards. There’s over 100 things on the Terry on home warranty, and we haven’t even went into even more detail you know the walls are warped, the front doors, warped, the deck boards are warped and broken , it’s just the house that has been painted horribly. It’s it’s the tile works not good it’s just the entire thing it’s just not a good quality product. It’s just quickly slap together right and I think that that’s a pretty well-known fact if you do go look at the reviews at Madame ****May or you do ask really anybody in the community about Madame it’s well known that that’s not the best product ever unfortunately it was what we could afford . There’s not much more to say again we’ve just accepted it we’ve put in our work orders and it’s just gonna play out over the next year but as far as the overall experience with Madame, it just wasn’t good then it’s probably gonna continue that way regardless of whatever I do say and some survey so

We were very happy working with mattamy homes. Everyone was very kind and willing to help with any questions we had regarding the process and would pass us along to someone else if they didn’t have the info needed. Everyone answered in a timely manger. Two things that I would suggest is having more time for a PDI walk through being new home owners it is a very exciting and overwhelming process so a bit more time would have been appreciated, as well as when we were sold the house we were informed that it would be a certain colour and and once built it was different, very minor things overall happy with what we have
