Me dieron mucha ayuda recomendados para la próxima casa
We have had quite a few issues with our home since moving in, Meritage and its associates have been somewhat helpful but we feel as though we have been getting the run around.
My overall experience with Meritage Homes greatly exceeded expectations!
Builder offered another pressure washing after I closed. Didn’t show up the day he said they would, week later I get a call the pressure washer was there. My siding doesn’t look like it was washed but it’s fine, I’ll do it myself but do t promise something and not do it of half a** do it. Now my builder is no where to be found over here. Strange.

It was great purchasing home with Meritage Homes. Really appreciate Trey and Construction manager Josh for all their cooperation and help.
Little misleading
I hesitated to review at all because the above rating questions are so vague, and some repetitious. I skipped whether I would recommend Meritage Homes because I am conflicted with how to respond to that question. Gay a delight to work with. Always responded to my questions timely, was kind and encouraging to me when I had concerns. Never got short with me, and as a buyer I definitely was a challenge. I changed my mind several times during the period leading to the sale of my last home. Once a total location change of my home, not to mention changing my home from a free standing house to eventually a townhome. Once I decided on a townhome in Monroe, NC, I then changed 2 times to different townhomes and eventually bought the first one she showed me that I at first declined, but realized on the 4th of July (several weeks before my closing) she had been right ! Needless to say I was a bit of a mess all over the place, but she always was kind, comforting and understanding. She was wrong rarely, but concerning the HOA that this company uses for Braemar Village, Monroe, NC she unfortunately was wrong when she said that it would be so much better than what I had experienced at my prior residence. I am 73 years old and probably the oldest member of the Braemar Village population. Most of the population here is in their 30's I would say. I requested a storm door via the HOA, (storm doors are already on half a dozen or so on various townhomes in here). The request went to the HOA in late August/early September with hopes of installation to be early October, I have not rec'd a yea or nay at this time. The reason I want the storm door is an extra layer of protection for me as a senior and also so my 2 cavalier dogs could enjoy watching the world go by. Previously in my old neighborhood where the HOA was handled by volunteer home owners it took me only about 3-4 weeks to get an OK. Although having an HOA manned by volunteer homeowners, it could sometimes pose problems, but nothing to compare with Kuester HOA. First of all its tediously aggravating to the point you think you'll lose your sanity dealing with them. The HOA questionnaire is totally ridiculous in that it is acting like you already know who is installing your project, not to mention how and what materials they will use, what's their name, location, position, etc. When in fact your just trying to get it approved and don't have every detail they are asking and having purchased the door yet either. I was a Paralegal and I think that this all could be revamped with a much simpler questionnaire and a selection (already made by the HOA) of 3 different doors to select from. that the HOA already has already approved and the homeowner could proceed without a long wait. Because pretty much once other homeowners have a storm door it really should not be up to anyone to judge whether another home owner should have one too, Instead, it should automatically be grandfathered in. Because otherwise it definitely would look like favoring one neighbor over another. With the amount of people they have working for them it is unbelievable that the ARC group can only meet once a month. I realize that they have other communities to handle also unfortunately, the larger the HOA provider grows the more inefficient it becomes seems to be the case. I have gone off on a tangent which you probably do not feel is related to my experience at Meritage however, the decision to have the particular HOA handle Braemar Village was determined by Meritage and unfortunately it was a poorly made choice. This has colored my opinion overall of Meritage which also includes one other issue I have with the builder Cliff, besides his comment to me concerning a wavy wall line in one of my bedrooms" that no home is perfect", was annoying to me, no buyer wants to hear this type of statement from a builder of the home they are about to purchase. My son who has 20 years experience in property management and is now a district manager and VP for a large group, was kind enough to do my inspection on this home before my closing, he made detailed notes and pictures of what needed attention before closing, this I sent to Gay and Gay forwarded to Cliff. He chose not to fix the wavy wall, the wavy paint he himself had pointed out in the initial orientation walk thru in the stairwell he mentioned he'd have fixed wasn't done either. He also did not take care of a cabinet issue in my kitchen that was on the list given to him after my son's inspection. I can't open the cabinet door next to my microwave without causing damage to the one side of this cabinet. I would like to have these addressed because I am of the opinion that the customer is in the right to ask for items of this nature to be addressed, It is because of my experience as stated in this long comment with HOA and the builder that I can't answer these questions more favorably. Thank you for allowing me to take part in the survey.
Sales Agent - great. Nelson Creek in Mocksville Builder - Mario - amazing. He did everything he said he would do and took care of everything needed (which was simple - and wasn't much). I appreciate the level of customer care from everyone at Meritage so far. Thank you!!
Everyone was great from the first time we visited the community. We recommend Meritage to anyone looking to purchase a new home
