Wonderful and speedy experience
Solomon and Adrienne have made our home purchase and move in experience a positive one! This is our second Meritage home. The workmanship and energy efficiency are what we appreciate most! We hope to enjoy this Meritage home for years to come!!
Overall, I would rate my experience as very positive. Every department I interacted with outside of the closing process was professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. From start to near finish, I felt supported and well-informed. I would give all other areas a 10 out of 10. However, the closing phase of the loan process introduced avoidable frustration. I had clearly communicated early on that my Klarna account did not have a traditional statement, physical address, or contact number—everything is managed online and linked directly to my bank. Despite this, I was asked for this same documentation the morning of closing, which caused last-minute stress. Additionally, after being told by phone that the account needed to be paid, I made the payment, only to receive an email afterward asking me to wait. This back-and-forth confused and led to me waiting 1–2 weeks for a reimbursement, even though the payment had already been made and confirmed. That said, I truly appreciate the efforts of the team overall and hope this feedback helps improve communication between departments, especially around unique situations like Klarna, so future closings are smoother.

Great experience overall
After moving in we've had so many problems that I honestly now question the integrity of the builders. We moved in and the oven wasn't working and neither was the microwave. It took them two weeks to fix my oven and then three weeks to finally get help with the microwave. Then we had plumbing problems ALREADY in my toddler's restroom where it was backing up into the tub which was disgusting and it took them two days to get to me after having to find the emergency contacts since they weren't given to me at the time of closing. Now I find out that my dishwasher isn't working either and it hasn't even been a month in! This whole experience has been ridiculous and the only reason I haven't raised a bigger issue is because Zach since he's been helpful in keeping me updated on progress for the corrections. I'm very disappointed.
Working with Desiree was wonderful. She was always quick with her response and help. Overall since moving in we have had issues with our water heater which ended up needing to be replaced, issues with our stove and fridge and the current construction work around our house has caused us to clean up trash in our yard daily from food wraps to beer bottles.
