Lawrence has put our family at ease when purchasing this home. The calls and text from when we first met till this day he is always checking and making sure we are happy and comfortable. He is absolutely amazing!!
Our experience with Meritage homes has been great from the start. The salesman Jerem, Andrea and Amy on the mortgage team, and Construction manager Lawrence were all amazing to work with! Everyone was prompt , professional, friendly and very helpful throughout the whole buying process.
Buying process was smooth and easy.
The only negative is the the master bedroom ceiling and wall are separating for the second time in two separate locations.
I would say that overall, our experience was good, except when it came to construction. Jonathan was our mortgage contact and he was incredible. He was extremely responsive, proactive, and always on top of whatever needed to be done. However, when it came to our construction manager, Kaliek, it was the complete opposite. In person, he is very talkative and makes it seem like he is on top of everything, but there is no follow through and there was always delays or him forgetting. We had a homeowner inspection two weeks prior to our homeowner orientation. This inspection took place on 12/3/25 and called out numerous issues in the home. These items were brushed off or claimed to be “taken care of”. They were not. Kaliek claimed that all items from the inspection and orientation were taken care of by closing, on 12/22/25, besides a cabinet issue. Or so he was informed by Graig, who covered for him while he was on vacation. We had to reach out to Tyler a couple of times just to get our orientation and inspection list items completed. Our inspection list items and orientation list items were not fully completed until 2/19/26. I’m sure that you can fully understand the frustration with all of that and how much the ball was dropped, when it came to a sitting spec home.

The house was built for my daughter with minor ADA modifications that I was more than willing to pay for . Every department, sales, insurance and building had issues. If the issues were corrected with one or two emails I would have been absolutely fine with the experience as this was not my first home build. Nothing was resolved without an issues. There is still trim and open exposed wall not corrected since December.
