The house was built for my daughter with minor ADA modifications that I was more than willing to pay for . Every department, sales, insurance and building had issues. If the issues were corrected with one or two emails I would have been absolutely fine with the experience as this was not my first home build. Nothing was resolved without an issues. There is still trim and open exposed wall not corrected since December.
I want to share our incredible experience with Lawrence, our construction manager. Moving into our "forever dream home" is one of the biggest milestones of our lives and he has been an absolute standout professional throughout this entire transition. I call him, "The Detail King." I consider myself very observant and detail-oriented, but when Lawrence walked us through the house, he noticed things even we never would have seen! He also took the time to explain the technical stuff (like the HVAC, smart home features, appliances) so we felt confident about moving into an unknown situation. Lawrence didn't treat us like just another project; he treated us like new neighbors and friends. No matter how many questions we have, he answers every single one with patience and a smile. It is rare to find someone who combines such high-level expertise with genuine care for the homeowner. He is an invaluable credit to your company and we wanted to ensure he is recognized for his expertise and the pride he takes in his work.
Lawrence is very helpful when have a question. And he still stops by to check on us even though it is the responsibility of the warranty group.

When looking at the home for the first time I had pointed out several things that seemed unfinished to me. Examples: the shower in the master bath has no door installed, there are no ceiling fans in any of the rooms, the light switch in the master suite isn't located just inside the door but you have to reach around a corner to access it, etc.. The floor plan was what we were looking for so we bought the house trying to overlook the extras I would have to put in and the additional money that would be spent after we moved in. After being in the house for about a week we noticed other things that aren't quite right. The tile was poorly laid, the water pressure is low, all of the windows have blinds installed except two (why were these two windows left without blinds?), the thermostat for the HVAC is on the second floor. Why? it makes no sense to me. I have bought several homes over the years including a custom built home I had built on a lake in Texas. This home has to be the poorest construction of any home I've ever bought.
