The Sales Representatives I dealt with were awesome! They listened to any concerns I may have had. They were pleasant to speak with and were very considerate. The construction personnel I met with also were very informative and went above and beyond to make sure the items I needed addressed were in fact completed. I would not hesitate to refer a friend to purchase a Ryder home. Thank You!

Smooth construction process, more supervision from the trades could be definitely use while they are building the house and better cleanup before closing the house.

Review of Overall Experience

We have only owned the home for less than two months, so the responses are limited to the buying experience. From beginning to end the option selection experience was a nightmare. Version after version was error-ridden and had to be returned for correction. The single-point-of-contact process with a seller's agent without authority made the whole process miserable. Many, if not most, sellers use a separate setup for option selection in a setting that permits clear comparison of products, finishes, and colors. Ryder uses a badly-written, poorly decribed option list with wild price-swings. There is no listing of standard features available. The agent lacked a clear understanding of what was and was not included. On a number of occasions, we were given product information that was no longer available and related back to an earlier gas service phase that did not relate to the all-electric phase that applied to ourpurchase. A clasic example was the overpriced electric fireplace that was presented to us and included wood paneling and moulding. We were even given a color chart to select the stain/paint finish. Later we were told by the agent that the paneling and moulding were a special order option and not included in the $8,130. option. Once again, we were mis-led and of course, the agent, although an employee, had no authority and no responsibility. Even the closing dragged on beyond the planned date because the site power connection was apparently not planned far enough in advance. Actually, we were to have two critical meetings with site superintendent that were presented in the documents as critical milestones. In fact, the superintendent did not participate in either of the two events, nor did we ever formally meet him. The entire process was faulty.
