Overall it was a good experience. There are alot of items on our list to fix but they are mostly drywall issues. One thing I did want to mention is that there is so much garbage on the property outside, for example there is a big bottle of urine in the backyard assuming it belonged to a construction worker. I am hoping that someone from Tartan can come clean up the yard this spring as it's much more than just a few items.
I used to be an advocate but now I’ll be warning friends and family.

We were really excited to get the model home we wanted and even though it was an early delivery, we got most of what we wanted. We are disappointed in the finishes. Tu builders work is sloppy in many areas (paint, doors, insulation…) The majors issues we had during the PDI haven’t been addressed and the service team has not been responsive. It took us multiple outreach to the main contact before getting a response and get someone’s help.

The construction work, quality of material and quality of labour was not good. When I came for PDI, there were so many paint patches through out the house that it felt like someone who does not know how to paint has done the job. On various walls, there was only one coat of paint. These issues still persist. Significant frost is accumulating at the patio door since temperature dropped below zero and something similar happened on the main entrance door and some windows. We can feel draft of air coming in from some of the windows. When contacted Tartan and requested to get it checked, the response was its winter that is supposed to happen. I can see a few hardwood pieces that are already cracking up. After delivery service is worse where instead of making me feel comfortable, the only thing that I hear is that the issues are within reason and we will not do anything about it. 2 months in one of the bathroom taps is already leaking and one of the bathroom bulb is not lighting up. Main entrance door, garage door and windows are binding. Tiles in the bathroom are chipped at the corners and I was told they will put silicon and cover it up instead of replacing it. Finally, we had a rat living in the drywall in the garage before even we moved in. I had to get it removed at my own cost. Not sure how much damage has it done behind the drywall as it was able to around within the walls of the house.
