Overall experience of Tilson Homes was very positive until the hand over to construction. We had a frustrating 12 months of issues during the actual build process. Lack of communication was the biggest concern.
Construction was great, even so at the end there were too many items on the punch list that did not get done. We could had waited for everything to be done and had to have contractors come in to finish the work. As of now still waiting from warranty to get back to get someone to look at some items.
Given that we started all this process during the pandemic, it has gone very well.

We were assigned a builder that had never worked for Tilson prior to our project. He did not know the process or seem to care about the Tilson brand. We received terrible customer service and at times didn't know if our home would actually get built according to the plans. We had a 3 month period with minimal if any work taking place. It was only after our builder was fired that work proceeded, but still took an additional 4 months to get to closing.
The construction phase was poor in some trades! Our home took 1 yr and 10 months to build- OMG. We closed with very high interest rate which is a bummer 😳
This is the third house I’ve built in my lifetime and this has been the worst experience I’ve ever had. The quality of workmanship is very poor.
From the beginning of looking for the perfect home ,construction and the finished product we are very please. Would like to save we are forever grateful for Arden of Georgetown & Brian of construction for taking the time and keeping us updated on progress. Even when we had a few bumps they tried their best to resolve any issues. We are happy 😊
