We recently purchased a home and while these ratings were low there is one superstar in this whole experience and that is Madison. She was absolutely amazing and deserves all the credit for getting us in our home. Onto the home. Overall it has been disappointing. On the final walkthrough a few days before closing I did the final walkthrough and not only was the refrigerator not plugged in the outlet wasn’t even finished. On the final walkthrough there was another missing outlet plate in the loft area. Prior when our home inspector was there none of the appliances were even connected for him to inspect. Since we have purchased we have had to put in multiple warranty tickets. We have put in a ticket for the wrong screeen door installed, the seam on the bathroom shower door coming out, and electrician to fix the conduit. An electrician had to come three times to fix the conduit issue in the attic, causing us to miss time from work and loss wages. Meanwhile the appliances provided have been of the cheapest quality. A dishwasher that can’t wash dishes, a dryer that doesn’t dry clothes. Clearly this company was about inferior product to maximize profit. Recently a member on a social media page for Carlton landing highlighted an issue with the concrete and what appeared to be anchor points for the foundation was exposed. Meritage warranty spokesperson stated it was just cosmetic but considering he doesn’t have a construction background it is not surprising that he wouldn’t know that those were anchor points. On the social media it has been pointed out by numerous people the inferior quality of concrete and construction. Overall extremely disappointed and would not recommend a Meritage home to anyone. Disappointed with our half a million dollar purchase.
Brett has been very responsive with warranty requests. We have one open item and once that’s handled, the slate will be clean. I couldn’t be happier with my home.
I had a wonderful experience buying a home from Meritage Homes. Morgan at the leasing office was wonderful to work with and the buying process was super easy. The builder, Brian, was amazing. It is clear he truly cares about the quality of home he produces and he was great at listening and explaining things about the home. I love my home and am very happy I went with this builder.
Really love my first home! I feel safe and secure, others are quiet and respectful. It’s been a great experience as a first time homeowner!
For the value of the home I expected much better quality of the home. Home is very basic & not much value of $$$ quality was put into it. If I were starting over again I should have paid more attention into quality. Meritage needs to invest better quality into these homes as far as basics, from faucets to floors & the house structure!! People were great though from my sales agent Joshua to my contractor Evan,there great people. Thank you
