I like the space saving and efficiency of the equipment as well as the ease of installation.

Due to the location of the heater. Installing was not normal. Installed it with separate intake and exhaust tubes. About 20 feet each. Turned it on and we had a couple issues and codes. It took two calls to tech support and they were on their A game. Talked me through the issues and what switch changes to make to suit my install. Great people.

The worst customer service and products severely malfunctions. Diagnosis team can't even fix their own products just guess at the problem and doesn't even fix it.
I really enjoy the endless amount of hot water a tankless provides. However, I wish there was some type of “booster” or small holding tank that would allow hot water to be more readily available. It takes quite some time for hot water to start once it is turned on.

This product should not be allowed to be put in large homes where the location of the heater there’s more than 20 feet from the places you are most likely to use water the amount of water and time it takes to get hot water to the kitchen, master bedroom, and shower in my house is over two minutes of water running fully on, wasting both time and money. The developer of this new house points fingers at the government, Yet I found that Rinnai has a unit that includes a recirculating instant hot water feature. I believe that Rinnai How’s the responsibility to ensure that developers or homeowners aren’t using the wrong unit in the wrong house. I spent over $1100 to put a recirculating instant hot water heater in my kitchen just to find that they didn’t tell me before I put it in but it maxed out at 100° which means I spent $1100 for instant warm water.
Yes it exceeds my expectations. Goodbye large and clumsy tank style water heaters.

I have had the Rinnai water heater system installed for 9 months in my 3-bedroom house. It also has a kitchen sink and a washer/dryer. DISLIKE: It takes quite some times to heat up water and to deliver water to the end faucet, shower, or sink. After turning off water, and as soon as the faucet is turn on, it again takes some times to heat up the water. That, in turn, wastes precious water. LIKE: Never ending stream of hot water coming to the end faucet, shower, or sink when and if you leave it on for continuous use. It seems there might be technical tweaks or improvements to be made to make the system water efficient.

The heater works very well, once it gets started, but that is the issue. It can often take quite some time, even in locations within 15 feet of the heater, as many as 3 to 4 minutes, before the water begins to warm. We have even had to turn on multiple faucets all at one time to "push it" in generating hot water.

Overall water heater works well. Installed mine with external recirculating pump wired per Rinnai instructions but not sure it works very well. Once the hot water reaches the outlet it is a steady/same temp. flow. Hums while running and vibrates internal wall, would recommend mounting on external wall if possible.
