Baywest hires caring, passionate and responsive people from sales to construction to warranty. My experience has been nothing but positive with everyone at Baywest. Not everything is going to be perfect when you move into a new home however Baywest makes sure that it’s close to perfect and anything that isn’t they work hard to getting it fixed so that it meets an owner specification. This is my experience and the reason why I bought with Barest Baywest again!

We were so excited to build our forever dream home with Baywest after hearing such amazing things from others, but sadly, we could not be more disappointed with our experience. We lost a lot of trust in Baywest during the build process and ended up hiring an independent home inspector to come the day after possession, and so far, (approx. 8 weeks after possession) we have logged over 60 deficiencies with the home ranging from a cracked concrete floor in our garage to uneven custom shelves to bulging drywall and uneven paint. The build quality in our opinion has been very poor and we would have expected a lot more at this price point from an “estate” level builder.
Overall I really enjoyed building with Baywest and would recommend to friends and family. The design process is very challenging and I wish Baywest would have done more to show us what our vision would look like. Some builders offer 3d renderings and really take the time to show you what the variety of options would look like. As first time home builders, this part was the most challenging. The design concierge that they set us up with was not very helpful and we felt very alone in that process. Aside from that, everything else has been great.

The experience did not live up to expectations. Very poor service provided. Staff was not communicating or knowledgable. Lots of blind sides during the process. Lots of errors made on your guys part, which was annoying enough but several times you guys would make an error and put it on the customer as their loss. Or wouldn't honor previous things that were agreed on. We got held accountable for not filling in a form that was never given to us. Like the buyers were expected to know there was a form when it was never mentioned or given. Then telling the buyer to bad is extremely shady and unprofessional. When buying a house I assume to have knowledgeable staff that are capable of doing their jobs. This was very much not the case with our process. I think baywest need to look into their upper management and make some changes on how things are run. Someone needs to be in charge or overseeing things and ensuring things are going smoothly. Your manager of sales Terra Davidson was beyond terrible to deal with. Her unprofessional and degrading attitude was a very strong representation of dealing with baywest. When questioning the form that was never mentioned or provided to us and therefore never got filled in. Her only response was "do you not read what you sign". Not sure if baywest expects their customers to have super powers but I personally find it very difficult to read something that was never given or mentioned, and I didn't know even existed. To me it's your guys job do provide the information that is needed. Not our job to ask if things require a form? That comment shows the ignorance and true colors of how baywest deals with problems and their accountability or even willingness to do better in the future. I would never recommend baywest without some major management changes.
There were things we enjoyed about the process in buying with Baywest, but ultimately, there were more negatives as the process went along.
I had very good experience dealing with Baywest.
