Here is the updated version: Buying our home started off as a really good experience. Everyone was very nice to work with in the beginning of the buying process, and we were excited to move into our new build. However, during our walkthrough, there were a few things that needed to be addressed. The vent for the filter was bent, and we were told it would be replaced — it still hasn’t been. We were also told the backyard would be raked through and a large magnet would be used to pick up any nails or leftover construction materials. That has not happened. After moving in, we noticed several doors were loose and even falling off. It took a little over two weeks for those to be fixed. After some of the doors were repaired, we also noticed the front door wasn’t fixed correctly and still needs attention. At this point, we’re honestly not sure if things were rushed because we were so close to closing, but it definitely feels like the finishing and follow-through were not done with the care we were promised. Hoping these items get taken care of soon, because we truly want to love our new home and enjoy the experience we thought we would have.
