We are having some difficulty getting resolution to some concerns we have regarding the backfill of the yard between our home and the neighbors house. A contractor carrying a ladder to install gutters rolled his ankle Due to hollow ground and sunken unattached sod. We’ve attempted to get this remedied by contacting Travis but feel we’re getting the runaround being told it could be overwatered. This is not an irrigation issue

We mainly delt with three people at Creative Homes. Devon in sales, Erin in design and Brent in construction. We can not say enough good things about the way way each of them treated us and the the way they did their jobs. We were very nervous about building a new house as we are both in our seventies. All three walked us thru the process and made sure we were getting our forever home. Creative homes built us a beautiful new home and we we love it. I have told many nothing but good stories and highly recommend Creative Homes especially Devon, Brent and Erin.

Overall we’ve had an excellent experience with Creative Homes. They worked with us to ensure we received a fair buyer’s agreement when our realtor had concerns. They’ve been willing to fix cosmetic and structural issues that were brought up during our inspection. We had a sewer line blocked by construction debris that took 3 weeks to fix, but the Warranty department worked hard to try to get us scheduled with the plumbing service. Overall I’ve been pleased and confident with this company.

Overall, we are happy that we chose Creative Homes for our new construction home. After looking at several builders, including Capstone and Lennar, we felt that Creative Homes offered a better overall product, higher-quality finishes, and a more customizable experience. The home itself turned out beautifully, and we do not regret our decision to build with them. That said, our experience was not without frustrations, particularly as the project neared completion. Communication regarding timelines and closing dates was often unclear, making it difficult to plan and prepare for the move. We frequently found ourselves seeking updates rather than receiving proactive communication. One of our biggest disappointments involved the backyard grading. During the building process, we were shown and discussed a significantly different slope than what was ultimately delivered. The final grade of the yard was not what we expected based on earlier conversations, and we wish expectations had been more clearly documented and communicated from the beginning. We also experienced ongoing issues obtaining an accurate survey. This became a frustrating process that required multiple follow-ups and took much longer than anticipated to resolve. Additionally, once the home was sold, it felt like communication from our realtor decreased substantially. We often felt caught in the middle trying to get answers, and at times it seemed we were discouraged from communicating directly with the builder, which only added another layer of frustration. Despite these challenges, the quality of the finished home remains strong, and we do believe Creative Homes provides a better overall product than many competing builders. Our recommendation would be for Creative Homes to improve communication, particularly during the final stages of construction, and to ensure expectations regarding grading, surveys, and timelines are clearly documented and consistently communicated. Had those areas been handled better, our experience would have been significantly more positive.
