We loved the experience we had with the second builder manager, Isaac Andrejczak, who took over the last 4 critical months of our home construction. He is an excellent listener and problem solver, who went the extra mile in accommodating our legitimate concerns. He went out and beyond our expectations to walking us through all the processes and education on the construction phases and dos and don'ts plus allowed ample face to face communication which made the Meritage experience that meets the highest expectations. He also handled very difficult contractors situations so elegantly and treated us like family - This type of relationship and trust gave us the confidence to move into our new home before all the punch lists were completed. Please hire more people like him and he's the reason we will recommend Meritage Homes for our friends.

The sales manager, Rochelle Lord, was responsive and helpful during the initial purchasing phase and when adding features. However, she missed to include in the builder contract very specific home features that we had discussed with with her at the start of the process and at the design center, which is very disappointing as we missed out on something we wanted very badly (e.g. adding water source on the patio for an outdoor kitchen). The Design center representative, Miranda Anderson, was very biased towards upgrades and showed disdain for our selections, plus she did not explain the features the base features and selections and caused confusion towards the end of the construction process. The initial Builder manager, Phil Stopelli, was extremely rigid in communication strictly through email and only had 2 in person meetings with me. He was very unaccommodating and criticized our legitimate requests and concerns, plus hid behind his famous saying "We build to the city code". He did not give us confidence that the work was being overseen properly, as evident by the numerous pictures of bad workmanship by several contractors during house framing.
