From Caroline in the sales department, being attentive and responsive to our needs for moving quickly on the sale, and the time frame we had for the move; to the final walk through with Frank, and his expert attention to detail, assistance, knowledge, and overall care for our concerns, questions etc. He has been professional, helpful, and just all around someone we could trust with our experience. Even the Close of our purchase with title, and the assistance with getting our move expedited with the mortgage broker. Jenny in the Escrow department was super helpful, adjusted her personal schedule to attend to our signing quickly. She was even super sweet during signing (we had our 2 year old son with us) and she was kind and pleasant and patient with us. Super awesome experience from start to finish, and all these individuals from the face of sales to the final walk through, to the close of escrow, they all showed the same level of competence, kindness, and excellent work ethic to us. We could not be more pleased! I would be pleased to hear they got some sort of recognition for their hard work and attentiveness to our needs as we made one of the most important life decisions in the purchase of our home.

My only problem was getting the whirlpool appliances warranty for the extra time and also the air conditioner as the paperwork that came in the move-in folder was questionable. I had to get help from Rubi at Meritage and also Chaz office for air conditioner. Other than that, they have been very responsive on fixing things during our first 30 days.

Our home buying experience for our Meritage homes great. We brought in an outside lender to buy our current Mertiage home. Between our lender and Meritage homes both work together to help make this happen. Construction team was diligent with their wok.

Daniel has been great in responding to needs I have encountered in my home. The only issue concern I have at the moment is the fact that anyone can come in and out of our complex. There are many people outside of our community who come and use our amenities like the grills, picnic area and pools. Due to the gates being opened all the time. I am fully aware that the gates are open so future residents have the ability to enter at their leisure to see model homes. But maybe Meritage and HOA can come up with an agreement to hire private security to prevent non residents from accessing our community.

We had a few minor issues with our home that were ALL resolved. Daniel has been on top of things and easy to communicate with. Bobbie was also awesome and extremely helpful. I rated most topics in the 4 range only because we did have a few issues. There was trash left in our attic space for example. That is not attention to detail, that’s just plain laziness. Also, it is hard to recommend meritage homes because the common areas are unkept and dirty. The pool is dirty and water is freezing. We were told that our HOA went up because of a pool heater to be installed and nothing. The play ground is a constant mess. There are weeds all over the grassy area. To my knowledge the builder is in charge of HOA at this time and they’re failing. 2 bright spots so far are Daniel and Bobbie. But there is a lot of work to do because homeowners in this community are beginning to voice their concerns about the poor management of the property by the builder.

The quality of the home appears to be quite good, and attentiveness to fixing items prior to closing was commendable. Long term quality and responsiveness remains to be seen. One major design choice I disagree with is the exclusion of networking panel (shelf offered instead) and the choice to not run any Ethernet drops, but pitch "wireless only" leads to a generally poor user experience and is a disheartening way to save a few hundred dollars during construction.

We are so happy with the process working with Meritage and our new home! Joaquin in the sales office and Mike the construction manager were amazing to work with, Mike especially. Concerns were heard and fixed ahead of move in and any questions were quickly answered. Friendly and professional the whole way through. One thing we don’t love is matte paint for the whole house interior, even in bathrooms, laundry and kitchen. We realized after move in and it’s not the best finish for all rooms. We also don’t love the front yard landscaping. Plants just plopped down, same configuration for every other yard it feels like. No real dimension or character. We are so grateful for the Meritage team and love our home. Thank you!
