We loved the floor plan and the neighborhood, which is why we chose Mungo. Unfortunately, the excitement of buying a new home was overshadowed by quality control issues after closing. Within days of moving in, we discovered a plumbing leak above our garage. Instead of immediately opening the ceiling and properly remediating the area, it was initially patched over. I had to insist that the drywall be removed and hire an independent mold professional to evaluate the situation. Once the wall was opened, it was clear the leak had been caused by a nail through a pipe, and there was visible microbial growth that should have been addressed properly from the start. We also had HVAC zoning issues, scratched windows, chipped fixtures, paint defects, and several warranty items that required multiple follow-ups. While many of the subcontractors who eventually came out were professional, I often felt like I had to push for the correct repair instead of the builder proactively doing it right the first time. I will give credit where it’s due: once the issues were escalated, Mungo did begin taking them more seriously and agreed to replace drywall, insulation, and address the leak correctly. However, as a homeowner spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a brand-new house, I shouldn’t have had to become my own project manager. My advice to anyone buying a Mungo home is to inspect everything carefully, document every issue with photos, don’t accept cosmetic fixes for structural or water-related problems, and don’t hesitate to bring in an independent inspector or mold professional if something doesn’t seem right. The home itself has great potential, but quality control before closing and the initial warranty response need significant improvement

Other than the glass bottle that someone places in the waste line that casued the upstairs toliet to back up and the need to cutout a closet wall to get access the said bottle, Blake and his team have done a fantastic jopb correcting the issue and following up with us. Very professional team to work with. We are very happy with our purchase.
