On closing day and once keys are given to the owner, the owner shall be met at the door by one Tartan Officer to go thru (discovering) the new home as it was during PDI visit.

Tartan's quality control on workmanship prior to PDI and certainly prior to possession needs to be reviewed. There are far too many deficiencies in the quality of the drywall/mudding/taping - especially flat ceilings. Installing the main living room window whilst doing the PDI walk-through seems unprofessional. Cleanliness at PDI and possession was not up to satisfaction. Glue and paint splatters all over hardwood floors, Poor trim painting and drips, poor painting overall. Paint oversprays or drips on many of the door hinges and door handles. These items are just a few examples. The good news is that customer service has been completely receptive and is dealing with all of the issues without hesitation. Also glad to see senior quality control people coming to witness the workmanship for referral to management. We have been very happy so far with the home so it's unfortunate to taint the experience with poor last minute quality control. Also unfortunate is the amount of time taken off from work to be able to accommodate all the workers who have to come in. To date, we have taken 3-4 days off and there are still 2-3 days more to complete all the requisite repairs including sanding, painting, etc. Thank you
