They seem like they really do care - even if you have to bug them 100x to get anything done.

Disorganized. They build a great home but often things are overlooked or not communicated and have to go back and be fixed. We moved in 1 month ago and our house is still not finished.

We love the layout of our home and the ability to customize many options within the house.

There is a lack of communication within Windsor Homes. Many times it took multiple days to get a response back from anyone if at all. During the planning process we felt like many things were left unspoken and had we known all the information we would have made different decisions. Specifically the allowances and what they would cover. Although most of the outside contractors that we met with to pick our finishes were excellent to work with- having to drive to all sides of town during normal working ours caused us to have to take time away from work and was very stressful. It would have been nice to be able to choose where we wanted to get things from rather than being told where to go or to have a gallery where we could see "standards". The painting crew that did our house did a terrible job! There are still many places that the paint does not cover the drywall and we need to add another coat. Also they messed up and primed the basement and thought it was appropriate to leave it with just primed wall. Ultimately the paint crew delayed out move in a couple of weeks. The cleanliness of the house at move is was not acceptable. The house needs to have a cleaning company come in and do a through cleaning and there needs to be a commercial cleaning of the basement floor to get ride of the drywall dust. Even after mopping 4-5 times and scrubbing the floor for hours the drywall dust/mud/paste is still there. In the basement mechanical room the plans did not show what was actually put into our basement. When asked about it we were told that just because it was like that in the plan doesn't mean it will be that way. We had planned to layout that room based on what the plans showed and now we will be tripping over pipes to get to our water softner and can't fit a freezer down there. I brought this up in the final walkthrough and was basically told what is done is done and they wouldn't fix it. The final grade also was not what we requested. After the rough grade I spoke with Pat Davis to have it changed and told him how I wanted it- although it was changed they essentially moved the "hill" that we requested to have removed over all because they didn't want to have to remove dirt. Also at move in our property lines were not marked.
