The quality of the trades, there were so many re-dos on this home. While Baywest was good about replacing/repairing, the time spent on redoing things well past possession and ongoing shouldn't be acceptable. I feel like there is no penalty to the builder - it all falls on the homeowner taking up so much of our time, Baywest does not value the homeowner's time nor is there any compensation for the delays/mess ups/redos. More careful monitoring of trades, better trades would help this. More design review time/technology spent on visualizations of the home pre-construction - there were a number of design mistakes that I felt a professional should have caught and reviewed with us. Availability of products/selections of current design trends needs improvement. Estimations/quotes needs to be more timely from all vendors except Trecc and Cartwright who had reasonable turn around times. Legacy and Nu-Way being the absolute worst. Better indications of what is in spec and what is an upgrade instead of having to go back to estimations.
