megan and nick were the absolute best. everything we needed fixed, if anything got fixed after blue tape. customer service was 10/10 the builder was 1000/10. the home is 100000/10. i am very pleased.

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Their contracts are long and confusing. Important details are hidden with no explanation. They send the contracts directly to me without including my realtor and push me to sign without a chance to make sure I even have time to read thoroughly. Some of their vendors do crappy work for them. They take no responsibility or ownership of a problem. It gets passed down the down the line without getting addressed. It took about 5 weeks to actually speak to someone about a complaint and they were no help. I went to the CEO of Meritage and still the issue was not addressed. It was one of the worst experiences of my life and would highly suggest not buying one of their homes. If you end up having to, then make sure the contract covers your interests. Don’t let them cheat you out of the buyer incentives. They will do it if you’re not careful. Again, the worst company! Later in this survey you ask about a new home orientation. I guess it does not apply since I never got one. Another part of customer service they lack. And to be clear I can not knock the actual salesperson. She was good to deal with but by no means was this process pleasant. So I struggle to respond to the questions about sales objectively

As a first-time homebuyer navigating this process independently, I found the volume of information and number of contacts provided to be quite overwhelming. Unfortunately, when I reached out with questions, I received little to no response, which added to the difficulty of the experience. While I do appreciate that Meritage Homes was able to accommodate my monthly payment budget for the first two years, I must respectfully share that the level of customer service I received fell well short of my expectations. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration to improve the experience for future buyers.

Its been a good experience. We just had drywall cracks the first couple days of moving into the house that we now have to stare at until the 1 year warranty is fulfilled. Hopefully it will be fixed correctly so we dont have to look at the whole upstairs. Aside from the obvious quality of craftsmanship the home suits our needs. The people were very tentative to our requests prior to move in.

The overall experience has been fine. I wish I had more control or the ability to add features to the home during the build process but other than thay, Andy the Project Manager has been very helpful in providing tips and tricks of owning a new home.

We had an excellent experience with all involved. The only disappointment occurred during the walk-through. The Sheetrock finish work and paint job was not at the level we expected. There were nails showing, scuffed areas and wall areas not painted at all, interior door “skins”were loose on several door bottoms and the refrigerator and microwave had dents. Vincent was wonderful addressing these concerns and blemishes and getting items addressed. We were surprised that the finish quality was not as good as we had experienced as homeowners.

I love my house but was not impressed with certain parts of the process. Meritage Realtor Madison didn’t even bother coming to anything on my closing day. Construction manager Calvin dismissed my concerns of my windows being upside down. More than once. Of course the window leaks within the first week I moved in. Third party window guy came out for my warranty claim and said they were indeed installed incorrectly. Calvin also was supposed to send someone out to add towel holders to all of my bathrooms. No one showed up on the date/time he told me they’d come. Unhappy because I took off work for nothing. I still don’t have the towel holders on the walls.
